APPLE CRISPS

Comfort food has been very much needed and this apple crisp dessert is much welcomed! This Apple Crisp recipe is nothing short of mouthwatering delicious. Plus, they’re gluten-free and dairy-free with all my substitutions. 

 

INGREDIENTS

FILLING:

  • 7 granny smith apples, cored and peeled

  • 2 cups frozen berries

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup gluten-free flour

  • 1 tbsp orange zest

  • 3 tbsp orange juice 

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

CRUMBLE:

  • 1 cup gluten-free flour

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1.5 tsp vanilla

  • ¾ tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • ¾ cup coconut oil

COMPONENTS

  • Mixing Bowls

  • Mini oven-safe pots 

METHOD

PREHEAT oven to 350℉ and lightly coat your mini pots with nonstick spray​.

MIX all ingredients for the crumble in a bowl until well-combined and freeze until done with the filling. 

COMBINE all ingredients for the filling and sit for up to 15 minutes. 

FILL your baking dishes with filling and then crumble.

BAKE for 1 hour or until topping is golden brown.

NOTES

STORAGE: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 week in the fridge.

TIPS: Crumble can be made 1 week ahead just be sure to cover and freeze.
