I’m kind of convinced that people should stop buying candles and just bake candied nuts all of the time to make their homes smell delicious. Although, of course, the best part about making candied pecans is getting to pop them in your mouth and taste that sweet, cinnamon-y, nutty goodness. They are such a treat, and far better than any pre-packaged nuts you might buy at the store.
PREHEAT oven to 325F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Mix the egg white and water together until well-combined and airy.
ADD the pecan halves, sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt to the mixture and combine.
DRIZZLE the pecan mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes. Cool completely.
STORAGE: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 weeks on the counter.
