CHOCOLATE COCONUT BALLS

One bowl, no bake, so easy and so addicting.

These chocolate coconut balls are for you if you are a chocolate lover like me.

There are so many variations you can do & you can even enjoy these half-frozen.

INGREDIENTS

COMPONENTS

  • Large bowl

  • Pot

  • Plastic bag

METHOD

PUt the milk, chocolate, and butter in a bowl over a pot of boiling water and stir until the chocolate is melted. Add the vanilla and orange zest and stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy. 

 

Chill until thick but not fully firm, about 45 minutes. 

PUT the cookies in a heavy plastic bag and crush them into little pieces, the largest about the size of a Cheerio. 

Fold the cookie crumbs into the chocolate mixture. 

SCOOP the mixture into little balls and roll together in coconut until nicely coated, then keep cool until time to serve. 

 

NOTES

STORAGE: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for about a week in the fridge...if they aren't eaten before then. You can also freeze them and let them thaw for 5 minutes before serving. They taste even better half-frozen. 

SUBSTITUTIONS: VEGAN version: use almond milk instead of regular milk and ¼ cup vegetable oil instead of butter.
