Peanut butter & jelly french toast

Peanut butter and jelly stuffed french toast? GAME CHANGER!

Regardless what type of bread and jelly you choose to use, this recipe is very adaptable to your cravings. Take your traditional french toast to a whole new level and leave your mouth watering. 



  • 1/4 cup peanut butter

  • 1/4 cup jelly of choice

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

  • 3 eggs

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

  • 8 slices of brioche bread

  • Strawberries for serving

  • Maple syrup for serving



MIX peanut butter, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon together until mixture is thoroughly combined.

HEAT the pan over medium heat.

SPREAD peanut butter and jam on the slices of bread then close both sandwiches.

DUNK each sandwich in egg mixture, soaking both sides for about 15 seconds, until mixture is absorbed. 

COOK sandwiches on both sides until golden, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.


SERVE with maple syrup, if desired.  


MAKE AHEAD: You can make the batter up to 2 days in advance.

STORAGE: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge. It's best to pour the maple syrup as you eat to keep any uneaten toast from being too soft. 

SUBSTITUTIONS: You can use any milk of choice | leave out the eggs to make it vegan | use any nut butter or even nutella | jam is optional
