This butter pecan cookie recipe will become a holiday favorite! They’re easy to make and full of classic holiday flavors, everyone will love them!
250 gram softened butter
3/4 cup + 2 tbsp sugar
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
100 grams pecan pieces
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp orange zest
PREHEAT the oven to 350F, and line a baking sheet with parchment.
MIX the sugar and butter until smooth. Add the flour, pecan pieces, egg, vanilla and orange zest, and again mix until smooth.
SCOOP dough in ⅛ cup balls and place 2″ apart on the baking sheet.
THUMBPRINT the tops of each cookie dough ball and place a pecan piece in the hole.
bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but not yet browning. They will not look very done!
remove and let cool for two minutes on the pan, and then move to a rack to fully cool.
STORAGE: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days on the counter.
