Sweet potato casserole
Thank you to my uncle Tzahal, aka Steve, for this killer recipe! Couldn't do life without you or this dish.
This Sweet Potato Casserole is the best side dish made with a cheesy layer of parmesan that pairs well with steak or chicken!
4 sweet potatoes
4 yellow potatoes
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup milk
salt & pepper to taste
nutmeg to taste
parmesan to sprinkle on top
PREHEAT oven to 380 degrees.
GREASE the casserole dish with the garlic clove and butter.
SLICE the potatoes and fan them out in a casserole dish in rows.
POUR the milk and whipping cream on top.
SEASON with salt, pepper and nutmeg and any other spices you might like.
SPRINKLE cheese on top, cover and bake for about 1 hour.
Uncover at the end to brown the top.
STORAGE: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days in the fridge.
FREEZER: You can freeze them for up to a week in the casserole dish with plastic wrap and tin foil.
